I should change my perspective you said
Easier said than done
Bad ideas are clouding my head
And I’d rather not see anyone

The goal slips further away from reach
And every new attempt is like pulling teeth
In the end the search yielded no results
Remind me once again why it’s not my fault

Despite all the second guessing and doubts
I’m doing better now as the odd man out
Held captive in this endless rut
Years thrown away, down the drain and for what?
